Who this is for Most people who pick up a guitar later in life quit before they should. Not because they lack patience or talent. Some of the fight is the instrument: high action, a stiff neck, strings that bite harder than they should. Some of the fight belongs to the player. Fingertips new to the guitar strings will be sore until calluses form. That is real work. It is honest work. A bad setup should not be piled on top of it. Markus Burrell Guitar Works exists for that person: the older beginner, the returning player, the teenager, and the young child who should not have to fight the instrument before the first lesson. The work is simple: find an honest instrument, have it set up properly by a skilled local technician, and put it in the right hands. That shortens the first miles. It does not skip the miles that belong to the player. No storefront. No up sell. A shorter road to playing — not a road with no walking.

Get pointed to a guitar and a technicians bench
Markus will help you get an honest instrument and point you to a local technician — and an instructor when that is needed. The guitar may come to your door, or it may be waiting at the shop. Either way, a real person on a real bench sets it up so the instrument is not the problem.
Pick up and play
You pick it up and start. That shop and that teacher can become your people for strings, lessons, and what comes next. New fingertips will still be sore until calluses form. That work is yours. The extra fight from a bad guitar should not be.
